Futurity Match
The gates open. The cameras flash. And Jimbo throws up a little. Was he getting stage fright, or was he getting choked by the collar? Jimbo was competing with 2 other young bullies his age and gender. One of them was his handsomely stout brother Arlo, showed by his owner Helen DeAmicis – also the owner of Jimbo’s dad. He placed third out of three, and deservedly so. When he made it onto the platform (carried by Joy), he refused to keep still and wouldn’t even show his teeth to the judge. Jimmy was a handful, but nevertheless super cute. As Jimbo and Joy passed by the mirror, he like all the other younger bullies were interested in their own reflections.
The room was filled with English bulldogs of all ages, and other English bulldog fans. It was great to be other like-minded people, and also for Jimbo to reunite with family members – brother Arlo, sisters Janice and Melanie, and his half-sister and aunt. Jimbo even met his future playmate Zeus from an owner in Lodi, NJ.
