About
Thanks for visiting. This site is for sharing photos and stories of the latest addition to our family – Jimbo – as he grows up.
Jimbo, whom I still often call Jimmy, is our third English bulldog, who my sisters and I decided to bring home as a present to our parents after enough time had passed since the death of our beloved Lumpy in April 2009. There’s nothing like having a bully bring warmth to a home, and my family showed signs that we were ready again to make another bond.
So what’s in a name? Jimmy joined our family from breeder Micki Jablonski in Middletown, New York. Micki was inspired by Woodstock in naming the litter. In Jimbo’s case, it was Jimmy Hendrix. Before we knew Jimmy, my sisters had already picked out potential names for our next bully that contained elements such as: “Sir”, “Tenzin”, “Duncan”, etc. For a day, Jimmy’s new name was just “Hendrix” or “Henri” for short. My mom wasn’t a fan, so it was then to “Jimbo”. I still call him Jimmy.
Before Jimbo, there was Lumpy. And before her, there was Giacomo. We’ll try to resurrect some photos of them for uploading to the site.
